Rev. David C. Smith first led worship at the Montoursville Presbyterian Church on August 29, 2010. David is originally from Arkansas. He attended Duke University where he studied Colonial American history and Primatology, and met his lovely wife Wendy. After graduation, David worked as a museum educator and zookeeper. He attended Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in Massachusetts and received a Master of Divinity degree in 2000. He started his ministry at the Stanley White and Littleton Presbyterian Churches in North Carolina until receiving the call to MPC in 2010. David and Wendy married in 1992 and have two children, Sophie and Christian.

Session

The Session is the governing body of the Presbyterian Church which leads us in ministry. Composed of eight Elders, the Pastor, and a Clerk, the Session works primarily through its committees: Christian Education, Evangelism and Nurture, Nominating, Personnel, Stewardship, Worship, and Youth and Children's Ministry. Committees are comprised of church members in order to maximize member input in decisions.
